Safety Shower Handles

In 2007 we worked with a local Mental Health facility to develop our Suicide Prevention Shower Handles designed to discourage attempts at self-harm. We were brought in on this project because the current solutions were simply not practical for use with soapy hands. Our design solved the slippery issues, is tamper resistant, anti-ligature, and even looked better. We use a nickel based alloy coating called Tricom-801 to protect our knobs from corrosive elements found in the water of many facilities.

We currently manufacture knobs and bezels(also known as escutcheons) for the following valve brands: American Standard™, Bradley™, Delta™, Kohler™, Leonard™, Moen™, Powers™,  ProFlow™, Speakman™, Symmons™, and Zurn™.

We currently manufacture mini knobs and bezels for the following diverter brands: Bradley™, Leonard™, and Zurn™.

As listed in the NYS Office of Mental Health Guidelines for use in hospitals, psychiatric wards, prisons and other in-patient facilities.

Units are often made to order to ensure proper fit in existing installations as retrofits. The number of valves, installed at various depths, prevents us from keeping inventory unless it's extremely common. Lead times are often 4+ weeks, due to time in production and finishing.
